Tannis Hanson

Tannis Hanson, originally from Colorado, has been out in L.A. since 2000 and now considers herself a Californian (almost). She has been a member of the Actor’s Co-op since 2005. She has served as the Artistic Chair of the Production Committee (selects plays for each season), as well as a PC member for over seven years. She is now in her third year of serving on the Board. Tannis has also produced two shows with the Co-op, The World Goes Round and Long Day’s Journey into Night. Most recently on stage, she played Rose in Dancing at Lughnasa. Although, her most memorable Co-op performance still to date is the sassy cow Milky White in Into the Woods. Her favorite roles have been Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor, Izzy in Rabbit Hole, and Wanda in The Baby Dance. Other credits: The Importance of Being Earnest (Cecily); The Crucible (Mary Warren); The Philadelphia Story (Liz Imbrie); The Last of the Red Hot Lovers (Bobby Michelle); Quilters; The Diary Of Anne Frank (Anne); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia); Peter Pan (Peter).  Tannis has also been seen in a number of commercials: Chevy, Progressive, Dairy Queen, Kaiser Permanente, La Quinta Hotels, Time Warner Cable. She is a member of SAG/AFTRA
